KLANG, 28 November 2014 - One thousand and five hundred PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) staff participated in the PLUS Community Day program at 35 locations across the country on 28 November 2014.

According to the PLUS Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid, “The PLUS Community Day is an annual program organised by the company as part of an initiative to give back to the people as well as contribute to the wellbeing of the surrounding communities. The program is also aimed at encouraging teamwork and the spirit of volunteerism among the staff.”

“Every year, we dedicate a special day for PLUS and its staff to organise and participate in community service to help the needy and various communities across the country,” she added.

Among the community projects organised simultaneously across the country today are repairing surau, hostel and other facilities at Madrasah Darul Mujahidin in Teluk Panglima Garang, Klang, repairing a wooden bridge and upgrading a mini library at Kampung Sungai Batu Besi and Puncak Lembah Bujang, in Merbok, Kedah, upgrading and repairing an orphanage in Gombak Permai, Batu Caves, cleaning the beach at Port Dickson as well as releasing turtle hatchlings to the sea at the Masjid Tanah Turtle Conservation Centre.

PLUS and its staff also provide schooling accessories and upgrade some of the facilities at the Mother and Children Specialist Clinic at the Slim River Hospital, cleaning-up the Serendah Waterfall, cleaning-up a wildlife area at the National Zoo and planting mangroves at the Kukup National Park in Pontian.

PLUS also pro-actively organizes other road safety-related programs such as the ‘Malaysians Unite For Road Safety’ (MUFORS) initiative, the ‘Respect Your Limits’ safety seminars for heavy vehicle drivers and operators, road safety mural competition for secondary schools, ‘Gerakan Motosikal Pencetus Amalan Keselamatan’ (GEMPAK MUFORS) programs for young motorcyclists and so on.

The PLUS Community Day was carried out at 25 different locations across the country last year.

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 November 2014 – Developed to help employees and contractors meet the health and safety legislation requirements, Malaysia’s first Occupational Safety & Health passport for highway maintenance called PROPEL Safety Passport (PSP) was launched today.

The PSP Induction Programme was developed through a collaboration between Projek Penyelenggaraan Lebuhraya Berhad (PROPEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Faber Group Berhad, and the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) with an aim to enhance PROPEL’s employees and contractors knowledge and understanding on the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Health and Safety processes at the workplace.

“PROPEL’s effort in being responsible for the safety, health and welfare of its staff and contractors should be praised,” said Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lee Lam Thye, chairman of NIOSH during the launch.

“Employees’ contributions to the achievement of the organisation cannot be denied. Safe workplace and healthy employees will enable them to perform their duties responsibly and efficiently which is closely linked to company’s productivity and quality,” he added.

“As a major total asset management company in Malaysia, we are committed to proactively initiate and lead the PSP Induction Programme, to inculcate safety awareness at the workplace amongst our employees and contractors. PSP is an initiative that aligns management, employees and contractors in their safety values through everyday work processes, and it is a programme we will continue to champion,” said Azmir Merican, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Faber Group Berhad.

According to Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lee, accidents prevention strategies are under the purview of the company to ensure safety of all employees. It is the responsibility of the company to ensure safety is a culture in their organisations.

“It is only with full commitment from the management and from all employees that safety and health culture will be successful. Constant reminders and awareness is key towards excellence in health and safety at work,” he stressed.

PSP is a series of training module catered specifically for PROPEL’s employees and contractors in highway maintenance. The Programme provides training and assessment to ensure participants acquire the necessary safety and health knowledge and awareness required to perform their jobs, comply to legislative requirements and companies’ policies. 

Training modules, case study, discussion and role play methodologies are used in the Programme which has been widely recognised as an effective and efficient training programme, not only locally but internationally.

PROPEL’s course will ensure that all its contractors have a thorough understanding in general health and safety matters. These include accidents, organising for safety, key health & safety requirements, risk assessment and potential hazards such as fire, electricity, plant and machinery, hand tools, and hazardous substances in addition to risks associated within the specific sector which is this case is highway maintenance.

The event also saw the launch of PROPEL’s internal competency development programme called, Competency for Infrastructure Maintenance (CIM) targeted at the company’s frontliners which makes up of non-executives working at the sites, namely Propel Intervention Team (PIT), Machine and Plant Operators, Technician/Chargemen and Supervisors.

CIM is rolled out with an aim to enhance and standardize competencies among PROPEL’s Operations and Project teams, which indirectly would translate into better employees’ attitude, skills and knowledge and enhance the Company’s efficiency.

Aurora Melbourne Central strong sales will boost future earnings  
 
KUALA LUMPUR, 26 November 2014 – UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise” or the “Company”) today announced its financial results for the nine months ended 30 September 2014 where total revenue recorded for the period stood at RM1,320.3 million as compared to RM1,852.2 million reported for the corresponding period in 2013, the latter of which was supported by two major land sale transactions in Puteri Harbour amounting to RM582.8 million. 
 
Revenue from property development activities increased by 12% from RM1,058.5 million in 2013 to RM1,182.2 million for the period under review, 60% of which was contributed by projects in Nusajaya namely East Ledang, Imperia and Nusa Bayu. The remaining 40% is from Klang Valley, the likes of Symphony Hills and Summer Suites, and from Quintet, UEM Sunrise’s mixed residential and commercial development located in Richmond, Vancouver, Canada. 
 
In line with the lower revenue recorded, UEM Sunrise’s profit after tax and minority interest for the nine month period stood at RM207.5 million compared to RM501.2 million for the year before. 
 
Total property sales for the nine months up to 30 September 2014 stood at RM641.4 million largely contributed by projects outside of Nusajaya namely Residensi 22 in Mont’Kiara followed by Arcoris Mont’Kiara, Almas in Puteri Harbour and Symphony Hills in Cyberjaya while unrecognised revenue remains strong at RM2.8 billion.
 
Commenting on UEM Sunrise’s performance, its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib acknowledges the challenging property market outlook, “Nusajaya is affected by the overall sentiment of Iskandar Malaysia. The near-term prospects of Iskandar  Malaysia remains challenging especially for the high rise residential segment due to concerns of potential oversupply. In light of this, we made a conscious decision to defer the launches of our planned high-end high rise units in Nusajaya over the next one year. Nevertheless, we still see good demand for affordable and mid-range homes especially in the landed segment and will continue to launch such products. We have already launched 351 units of landed affordable homes in Nusa Bayu in March this year, a GDV of RM50.0 million and on 9 November, initiated a groundbreaking ceremony for 1,109 units of affordable homes in Denai Nusantara, a project with a GDV of RM188.0 million, targeted for launching in 1Q 2015.  We remain positive on the medium to long-term outlook for Nusajaya especially once the High Speed Rail linking Klang Valley to Singapore is completed as this will be another key catalyst that will boost Nusajaya's future growth."
 
Projects in the Klang Valley continued to attract interest, “We launched our Residensi 22, a prestigious and majestic tower condominium with two blocks in Mont’Kiara. Targeted for those who want the convenience of urban lifestyle and security, Residensi 22 was well-received by the market with take up rate close to 75% as at end October. Aligned with the market’s appetite for lifestyle products, we have also seen encouraging interest for our Verdi eco-dominiums in Symphony Hills, which comes equipped with smart homes features the likes of unified home network, interactive community services portal, info kiosk and web access home control. Our joint venture project with Sime Darby Property Berhad, Radia Bukit Jelutong, has been seeing strong sales. The two blocks of serviced residences that we launched in early 2014 has enjoyed a take up rate of about 90% as at end October 2014”.
 
He further added that moving forward, UEM Sunrise aims to focus more on creating unique lifestyle offerings to match the needs of the various market segments considering that UEM Sunrise is able to cater and develop a diverse range of products. 
 
Anwar Syahrin further shared his delight on the Company’s maiden venture in Melbourne, Australia, “Aurora Melbourne Central was previewed in Kuala Lumpur on 23 October 2014. The 92-storey skyscraper, comprising retail, commercial office, serviced apartment/hotel and residential units has a GDV of approximately AUD$770 million and enjoys direct underground connection to Melbourne's rail network via the Melbourne Central Station. The project is also directly linked to the CBD’s largest continuous retail precinct. 941 residential units were launched comprising a mix of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom with sizes ranging from 43 sqm to 92 sqm priced within a range of AUD$428,500 to AUD$1.19 million per unit. We have received overwhelming response with 895 units (95%) booked within two weeks of our exclusive worldwide preview, with total potential sales value of approximately AUD$508.0 million”.  
 
UEM Sunrise is also pleased to note that Marina One Residences, a mixed development project co-managed by UEM Sunrise has done very well given the current soft market conditions in Singapore. The project jointly developed by Temasek Holdings and Khazanah Nasional Berhad is the latest launched in the market following the success of its maiden project, Duo Residences.

RM735 million production line has increased CIMA’s annual cement production capacity to 7.2 million metric tonn

BAHAU, 24 November Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of UEM Group Berhad (UEM Group) and one of the largest cement manufacturers in Malaysia, has installed a second production line at its plant in Bahau, which is operated by Negeri Sembilan Cement Industries Sdn Bhd (NSCI).

Since the start of its operation in September 2013, the second production line also known as “Bahau Line 2”, has produced a total of 935,774 tons of clinker as at end June 2014. The expansion has increased CIMA’s annual cement production capacity from 5.30 million to 7.24 million metric tonnes, paving the way towards future growth for the Company.

The RM735 million Bahau Line 2, which is equipped with the latest technology including a six-stage preheater for maximising heat efficiency and energy consumption, was officially launched today by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan, Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

Also present at the launch event were Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of UEM Group, Abdul Kadir Md Kassim, Chairman of CIMA, Dato’ Izzaddin Idris, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Group and Mohd Yusri Md Yusof, Managing Director of CIMA.

Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan in his speech said, “I believe that the opening of second production line in Bahau will not only continue to boost CIMA’s annual cement production capacity and strengthen its position as one of the largest cement manufactures in Malaysia but it also has the capability to generate additional employment opportunities and at the same time spur economic growth in the surrounding area of Bahau and Negeri Sembilan as a whole.

“With this expansion, CIMA is positioning itself to be more competitive and will be able to cater to the rapidly changing environment of the industry. In line with the company’s vision of ‘cementing nation building’, the opening of Bahau Line 2 is a timely move to support mega infrastructure projects that will be undertaken by the Government as outlined under the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).”

Abdul Kadir Md Kassim, Chairman of CIMA explained that installation of Bahau Line 2 showcase the Company’s commitment in achieving operational progress and to support Malaysia’s growth in general.

“For more than 30 years we have been involved in a number of iconic infrastructure projects in Malaysia with the latest being the LRT and MRT projects, Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge and the development of Iskandar Malaysia in Johor. We plan to continue supporting Malaysia’s growth and realise its economic development objectives by providing quality materials produced in a socially responsible manner.”

CIMA has been involved in the manufacturing and distribution of cement and related activities since 1975. It has two plants located in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan and Bukit Ketri, Perlis with a combined clinker production of 4.6 million tonnes per annum and a total cement production capacity of 7.24 million tonnes per annum.

PETALING JAYA, 20 November 2014 - All toll transactions at Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau Toll Plaza on the Federal Highway Route 2 (FHR2) will be conducted electronically from 12:00 noon on 22 November (Saturday).
 
Starting this Saturday, all toll payments at both toll plazas will be made via PLUSMiles cards, Touch ‘n Go cards or SmartTAGs.
 
According to PLUS Malaysia Berhad Managing Director, Dato’ Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid, “Currently, more than 90 percent of the users at both toll plazas are paying toll electronically.
 
In addition, highway users are able to purchase PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go cards (with preloaded RM5 value) at promotional rate of RM5 at the Batu Tiga, Sungai Rasau, Subang and Setia Alam Toll Plazas until end of the year. The public can also purchase SmartTAGs at a promotional rate of RM99 (from the normal price of RM120 per unit) at the same locations until the end of the year.
 
In general, SmartTAGs and Touch ‘n Go lanes can accommodate 1,000 and 550 transactions respectively in an hour. Cash lane, on the other hand, can only accommodate 220 transactions per hour.

NUSAJAYA, 19 November 2014 - UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise”), the master developer of Nusajaya, one of the five key nodes of Iskandar Malaysia, has successfully organised its Sustainability Campaign 2014 held at Puteri Harbour, Nusajaya.

Officiating the campaign was NIOSH’s Chairman, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lee Lam Thye in the presence of UEM Sunrise’s Senior General Manager of Nusajaya, Encik Mohd Nadzari bin Hj Bachek. Several exciting ‘on-the ground’ activities organised during the campaign included safety talks, tree planting, treasure hunt, blood donation, water sports, fire fighting, quizzes and many more.

The two-day Sustainability Campaign 2014 in collaboration with National Institute of Safety and Health (“NIOSH”) had attracted more than 400 participants and five main exhibitors including the government agencies such as Department of Occupational Safety and Health (“DOSH”), Malaysia Productivity Corporation (“MPC”), Colombia Asia, Fire and Rescue Department as well as contractors, consultants, site workers, UEM Sunrise’s employees, general public as well as NIOSH.

Launched in 2008, the 2014’s Sustainability Campaign was organised with the objective to further inculcate safe work practice and culture and to promote better understanding on the construction quality, occupation safety, health and environmental issues in the work place that could affect the overall performance and productivity.

Themed “Think Sustainable, Act Responsible”, this event also aimed at disseminating, sharing, assessing, increasing and improving site workers’ capabilities, awareness and discussing issues relating to Quality and Occupational, Safety Health Environment on sites.

“Togetherness enables us to achieve much more rather than working independently, hence, making any challenging task easier to manage. It also promotes stronger cooperation amongst the departments within the organisations, stakeholders and fellow workers to work in unison to achieve common goals”, said UEM Sunrise’s Senior General Manager, Nusajaya, Encik Mohd Nadzari bin Hj Bachek.

“Creating a safe work place is a joint responsibility and everybody must be committed and not compromised in any ways where safety, quality & health and environment are concerned”, he added.

Also held during the event was the presentation of 5S certification by Encik Zainudin bin Haji Elias, Southern Region Director for Malaysia Productivity Corporation (“MPC”) to Encik Mohd Nadzari bin Haji Bachek, witnessed by Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lee Lam Thye. UEM Sunrise is the first property developer in Malaysia to be 5S certified company wide, since 2013 until present.

• 131 students completed the Pintar Al-Quran programme in the year 2014

NUSAJAYA, 15 November 2014 - UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise”), the master developer of Nusajaya, one of the five key nodes of Iskandar Malaysia, has successfully concluded its Pintar Al-Quran Programme 2014 with a ‘Khatam Al-Quran’ ceremony to mark the notable achievement of 131 pre-schoolers from its five adopted KEMAS kindergartens around Gelang Patah held at Theatrette Hall, Bangunan Dato’ Jaafar Muhammad, Kota Iskandar.

The ceremony was graced by the Johor Religious Committee Chairman, Yang Berhormat, Haji Abd Mutalip bin Abdul Rahim who gave the opening speech. The ceremony was also attended by UEM Sunrise’s General Manager Township, Infrastructure and Planning Department, Encik Rusli bin Zainal Abidin, representatives of Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Johor (“MAINJ”) as well as the respective ustaz and ustazah of UEM Sunrise’s adopted KEMAS kindergartens. 

Since its inception in 2008, the Pintar Al-Quran Programme aimed at educating the young children to become Al-Quran literate as well as to encourage them in adopting the Al-Quran fundamental values in their daily lives. To date, more than 1,400 pre-schoolers have benefited from this programme which continuously records sturdy growth with satisfactory achievement.

In 2014, 267 pre-schoolers enrolled under this programme and 131 children aged five and six years old successfully completed their Al-Quran recital classes. Whilst remaining 136 children are currently at various stages of completion of the programme.

The programme has proven to be effective through the adoption of innovative teaching methods as well as comprehensive curriculum supervised and closely-monitored by Johor Religious Department or ‘Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Johor’ (“MAINJ”).

Awards for best male and female students went to Muhammad Adam Diniy Bin Harun from Tabika KEMAS Murni, Kampung Tiram Duku and Khalisah Binti Mohd Riduan Ou from Tabika KEMAS Sayang, Kampung Pok respectively received cash prizes amounting to RM200 each, plaque and certificate. Meanwhile, the best school went to Tabika KEMAS Murni Kampung Tiram Duku who took home cash prize of RM500 and a plaque. All winners were selected by MAINJ based on the student’s fluency, accuracy of the tajwid while reciting the Quran, as well as the school’s overall delivery.

Anisah binti Hasim 33, a Pintar Al-Quran teacher from Tabika KEMAS Murni Kampung Tiram Duku, when asked about her school achievement said, “I was surprised and delighted with this award as this is our first award since our participation in this programme”.

“Today’s ceremony is a symbolic gesture especially to us, to celebrate these children who have successfully completed their Al-Quran recital classes. We hope that they will continue to develop Al-Quran as a guidance in their daily life constantly with the support and encouragement especially from the parents,” said Ustazah Saiyidatul Mahirah binti Masrin 30, also a Pintar Al-Quran teacher from Tabika KEMAS Murni Kampung Tiram Duku.

“We are proud to announce that through positive feedbacks from the community, we will adopt two more KEMAS kindergartens making it a total of seven UEM Sunrise-KEMAS kindergartens for Pintar Al-Quran Programme effective next year. As a responsible corporate citizen, UEM Sunrise is committed to build sustainable and holistic communities in Nusajaya. The idea of Pintar Al-Quran Programme for pre-schoolers was rooted in the belief that Al-Quran learning is the main element in the life of any Muslim,” said UEM Sunrise’s General Manager Township, Infrastructure and Planning Department, Encik Rusli bin Zainal Abidin.

“We believe that the Pintar Al-Quran programme in collaboration with MAINJ and KEMAS is very significant and relevant as well as demonstrates a very noble effort in ensuring the continuous and sturdy growth of Islamic values and practices as these young children are important assets to the nation,” he added.

TAPAH, 14 November 2014 – UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise”) successfully organised a Back-To-School Programme for the Orang Asli children of Kampung Sg. Geroyang and Kampung Sg. Merbau in Tapah, Perak as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) initiative.
 
The whole event cost approximately RM29,000 which witnessed the handing over of school supplies including primary school uniforms, secondary school uniforms, shoes and socks to 55 children from the two villages.
 
The whole programme was intended to ease the burden of the families in preparation for the children’s upcoming 2015 school session. 
 
The handing over ceremony was graced by Ayer Kuning State Assemblyman, YB Dato’ Haji Samsudin Abu Hassan, UEM Sunrise’s Corporate Communication Head, Nik Surina Suria Nik Abdullah and representatives from the Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli Daerah Batang Padang.
 
This is the third year that these two villages receive contributions from UEM Sunrise under its Back-To-School programme.
 
The Back-To-School programme conducted by UEM Sunrise is the third event that was organised in Tapah this year. Prior to this, the company conducted a Gotong-royong event at the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anakanak Yatim Darul Aitam on 18 October 2014 and on 30 October 2014 it handed over the upgraded shower area to the same home.
 
This charity programme is one of the platforms for UEM Sunrise to engage with the local communities where the company has a landbank. UEM Sunrise currently holds 2,405 acres in Tapah and plans to increase its community outreach in the area by organising more engaging programmes that are in line with its CSR mission to enhance the well-being and quality of life of the communities in which it operates.

NUSAJAYA, 9 November 2014 – UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise”), the master developer of Nusajaya, one of the five flagship zones of Iskandar Malaysia, continued its commitment to build affordable housing for the rakyat with the groundbreaking ceremony for Denai Nusantara, another project under the Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (“RMMJ”).

The ceremony was graced by the Menteri Besar of Johor, YAB Dato’ Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, accompanied by UEM Sunrise Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib.

The event was also attended by Housing and Local Government EXCO YB Datuk Haji Abdul Latif bin Haji Bandi; Assemblyman of Nusajaya, YB Dr. Hj. Zaini Abu Bakar; Iskandar Regional Development Authority (“IRDA”) Chief Executive YBhg. Datuk Ismail Ibrahim and approximately 500 guests including community leaders, the representatives from the local authorities and the media as well as the kampung folks from the surrounding areas.

“The State Government of Johor is pleased that UEM Sunrise has continued to ensure a supply of quality affordable housing for the rakyat. UEM Sunrise will allow more Malaysians and in particular Johoreans to be part of Nusajaya, a region brimming with opportunities and allow the rakyat to share in the progress of Iskandar Malaysia,” said the Menteri Besar of Johor, YAB Dato’ Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin.

Anwar Syahrin said: “As one of the largest property developers in Malaysia, we are in full support of the Government’s efforts in ensuring home ownership for the rakyat from all walks of life.  It is our hope to continuously provide quality affordable homes with modern amenities to help improve the quality of life of the local community.  We believe we can achieve this through our years of combined experience in developing townships, residential and integrated developments”.

“While UEM Sunrise focuses on the development of Denai Nusantara, the Housing Division, Johor State Secretary Office is entrusted with determining the deserving and eligible purchasers of the affordable housing. The rakyat will be the main beneficiaries of the Denai Nusantara development in Nusajaya”, he added.

Upon completion, Denai Nusantara will comprise:

• Five 12-storey blocks - 1,109 units with three bedrooms each. The built-up is 1,000 sq ft and is priced at RM150,000.00 each.
• One-storey shoplots - 108 units with a built-up of 1,200 sq ft and priced at RM200,000.00 each.

Strategically located adjacent to the planned transportation hub and industrial park in Gerbang Nusajaya, Denai Nusantara will also apply the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (“CPTED”) through fencing and availability of guard houses. Denai Nusantara will also provide the residents with affordable maintenance, quality workmanship and lifestyle recreation and amenities. Communal facilities such as multi-purpose hall, surau, tadika, management office and recreational park with jogging tracks will be built. A plot of land for a hawker centre and a mosque is also provided at the development.

Earlier in March 2014, UEM Sunrise pre-launched 351 units of affordable properties in Nusa Bayu. The development works commenced in August 2014 and the project is currently progressing according to schedule.

UEM Sunrise pledges to offer more affordable housing in Nusajaya. To be launched in phases, the affordable housing project will be built based on the guidelines of the Johor Public Housing Policy in Iskandar Malaysia. Such developments will be built upon confirmed demand received and subject to relevant regulatory approvals. This initiative is in line with the aspirations of the National Housing Council (“NHC”) as well as the Johor State Government in ensuring home ownerships for the rakyat.

PETALING JAYA, 6 November 2014 - PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) increases its PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card and SmartTAG promotions following the Malaysian Highway Authority’s (MHA) announcement on the implementation of full electronic toll collection at Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plazas beginning this 22 November.

PLUS Managing Director, Dato’ Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid said, “The public can purchase promotional RM5 PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go cards (with RM5 prepaid value) at PLUS Customer Service Centres at Batu Tiga, Sungai Rasau, Subang and Setia Alam toll plazas until the end of the year.”

In addition, the public can also purchase SmartTAGs at a promotional rate of RM99 (from the normal price of RM120 per unit) at the same locations until the end of the year.

Furthermore, PLUS is also offering toll rebate up to 30 percent to highway users paying toll electronically at the Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plazas.

“The 30 toll rebate is given to Class 1 users paying toll electronically at Off-Peak Hours (10:00 am – 3:59 pm & 10:00 pm – 5:59 am). Meanwhile, a 10 percent toll rebate is given to Class 1 users paying toll electronically at Peak Hours (6:00 am – 9:59 am & 4:00 pm – 9:59 pm),” Noorizah explained.

In general, SmartTAGs and Touch ‘n Go lanes can accommodate 1,000 and 550 transactions respectively in an hour. Cash lane, on the other hand, can only accommodate 220 transactions per hour.

Currently, more than 88 percent of the users at Batu Tiga and 86 percent at Sungai Rasau are paying toll electronically.

KUALA LUMPUR, 4 November 2014 - Sime Darby Sunrise Development Sdn Bhd (“SDSD”), the developer for Radia Bukit Jelutong, a joint venture project between UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise”) and Sime Darby Property Berhad, recently organised an appreciation dinner for purchasers of its Radia Bukit Jelutong development.

The dinner was in celebration of the high sales record of the development and an appreciation of its purchasers who had bought units in Block B, C & D of Radia Residences and units in Phase 1 & 2 of its Retail Shops. 

The event which took place on 11 October 2014 was held at the Citrine Ballroom in One World Hotel, Bandar Utama. Some of the activities carried out were; photo booth with glittery Mime Artistes and a harpist performance. There were also a stand-up comedy skit by Harith Iskandar as well as performances by Ning Baizura and Violinist Genervie Kam and speed glitter painting.

To date, with the support of the buyers, Radia Residences has achieved a take up rate of 90% for blocks B & C. 

Radia Bukit Jelutong is built on 20.95 acres of freehold land and commands a gross development value of RM1.2 billion. Radia boasts a unique hand fan shaped design inspired by a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian themes. It is a mixed development comprising serviced apartments, retail shops and strata offices.
